Adjustment and Material

Adjustment is performed by turning the adjustment bolt. The Tihon VPO “Vepr” adjustable gas block is available in two materials: steel or titanium. The manufacturer’s warranty is 1 year for steel and 3 years for titanium.

The VPO “Vepr” is a family of semi-automatic carbines derived from a rifle originally developed on the basis of the 7.62 mm Kalashnikov machine gun (RPK). The carbine is known for its high reliability and is designed to operate in a wide range of conditions.

Preparing the Device for Operation:

• Please note that installation of the device is recommended only in a properly equipped workshop.
• Please note that the adjustment working range is 6 (six) clicks.
• Adjustment begins with fully tightening the adjustment screw (hand-tight, clockwise).
• A fully tightened adjustment screw provides the minimum flow of propellant gases into the gas tube; each subsequent click increases the opening for gas flow.
• Begin adjustment from the smallest opening, gradually increasing it until reliable cycling of the firearm is achieved.
• A fully tightened adjustment screw does not block the gas port by 100%.
• During installation, ensure proper alignment of the gas port in the barrel and the gas block.

Safety Measures:

• It is prohibited to install or adjust the gas block on a loaded or malfunctioning firearm.
• Observe safety precautions to prevent damage to the product and contamination of the internal channel.
• To prevent hand burns when adjusting the gas block screw, use heat-insulating material or gloves.
