The main advantage is integration without modifying the weapon’s design. The platform is installed into the factory mounting slot replacing the standard rear sight (in the factory dovetail). Thanks to perfect CNC machining, the plate fits as tightly as possible and locks dead center, forming a single monolith with the slide. No irreversible slide milling, no shifts in the point of impact (POI) even during extreme rapid fire.

The design of the mounting plate is engineered to seat the Steiner MPS as low to the bore axis as possible. This neutralizes the “high sight” effect, makes the aiming stance natural, and allows for lightning-fast red dot acquisition right after drawing the weapon on target.

Installation Recommendations:

1. Installing the platform requires removing the factory rear sight. We recommend having this work done in a gunsmith workshop to avoid damaging the slide coating.
2. For maximum reliability, we recommend using a medium-strength threadlocker (e.g., Loctite 243) on the mounting screws.
3. Before final tightening, ensure there is no dirt or oil in the rear sight dovetail for perfect surface adhesion.
